Parental Responsibility
#1
Hi all

Hoping someone can offer me some advice. My ex partner seperated18 months ago. I have a son with her who is 15, born in 2002. I have recently contacted his school to ask for up to date reports. The school have written back telling me they have recently received a solicitors letter telling me that my ex now has sole responsibility.

I've not seen my lad for some time due to my exs restrictions

You will not of gained PR by being on the birth certificate, as this started in most parts of the UK in 2003.

Your only way forward therefore is to apply for PR on form C100 at Court, and on the same form, if you want to get contact in place apply for a Child Arrangements Order at the same time.  If might be that the court will only hear the PR application, then send you off to Mediation as you might need a no show/deadlock letter, before the court will hear a Child Arrangements Application.
Posts made by me are my opinion and any factual information should be checked out. If you do not have a Solicitor, often your local CAB can get you some initial advice.
