Private pension and cms
#1
Hi there,

I've started contributing in to a private pension as of 7th July 19 and my annual review is on 13 August. Lady on phone said despite all evidence I have submitted I cannot claim a reduction until I have an annual statement from pension provider. Is this correct?

All advice appreciated

You can get a reduction, as long as you can show this money has been paid. Normally a wage slip will do.

Put it in writing, stating you want a Mandatory Reconsideration on her decision.
Posts made by me are my opinion and any factual information should be checked out. If you do not have a Solicitor, often your local CAB can get you some initial advice.

Hi MarkR,

I asked for a reconsideration and the lady who called me back said due to me having only started y private pension they cannot take it into consideration until I have an annual statement. I argued saying that is not advantageous to me as I would pay a whole year without any deductions. Her reply was that is the rules and if I don't like it then I have contact my local MP.

All help welcome
